NEW: 3 CROMWELL ROAD BAR AND RESTAURANT, SOUTH KENSINGTON
It’s official, superclubs are out. Townhouses are the way to go if you want to eat, drink, and party under one 18th century roof. The imaginatively titled 3 Cromwell Road on, erm, Cromwell Road in South Kensington is the latest to be relaunched into a restaurant / bar / nightclub. Set over 3 storeys in an 18th century Georgian house across the road from the Natural History Museum, the site of 3 Cromwell Road has previously hosted a casino and was the favoured hangout for the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Sean Connery. The venue has resisted the urge to modernise, choosing to go back its Georgian aristocratic origins with chandeliers, velvet banqueting seats, and an outdoor courtyard. A complete night out in classic surroundings.
3 Cromwell Road, SW7 2HR. Nearest tube: South Kensington
