Beautiful Soul brought BSF magazine to a stand still as we were oohing and aahing  over the S/S 2010 and A/W 2010 collections at the Catherine Wheel yard on 11th May 2010.

Beautiful Soul founded by London College of Fashion graduate, Nicola Woods who previously worked as an insurance broker for 11 years before deciding to chase her dreams of becoming a fashion designer. She started up the label in November 2008 and since then Beautiful Soul has already gained a loyal following amongst celebrities and the fashion/art community, with a vast fan base which includes Lily Cole and Gabby Young.

Beautiful soul has a creative, intelligent and open-minded approach to design and prides itself for the woman who is aware of the importance  of originality and quality. Like many of you out there who are inspired by creativity and love to stand out from the crowd.

The A/W collection show elegant vintage kimonos which are multifunctional and could brighten up any day outfit or night out fit as it offers versatility, Nicola Wood’s has certainly perfected the modern twist on the Japanese kimono design. The collection also sees an introduction to British wool from a rare breed of Shetland sheep sourced from Izzy lane. All of which is  Eco friendly clothing and timeless pieces.

Beautiful Soul SS10 collection – Miss Butterfly is currently on display and stocked at the V&A, London’s fashion museum. Each piece is carefully crafted to reflect individual style, also telling a indepth tale as each garment is named after famous Japanese Geishas.
