WIN: Tickets to a VIP Prohibition Cocktail Party
Ironically, the prohibition of the 1920s and early 30s is widely regarded as the most important period in the drinks industry. The American nationwide ban on alcohol led many to come up with ingenious drinks creations and many of the cocktails we know and love today, such as the Sidecar and French 75, were invented in the era.
It is now 80 years since the end of the ban, and the ripple effect is still being felt today with new drinks still coming to the market replicating the recipes used. Bootlegger White Grain Spirit is one such drink and is described as ‘an authentic reproduction of 1920s prohibition alcohol’. The 40% unaged, white grain whisky certainly has as much character as the 1920s, and to celebrate the anniversary of the end of prohibition, Bootlegger are hosting a VIP only party in East London on Wednesday 2nd October.
The party will be held at Blue Tit in trendy Clapton and will feature FREE Bootlegger cocktails, street food, games and even moustache trims for the lads. The event is not open to the public, but to show appreciation for our loyal fans, we’ve managed to secure a pair of tickets for 1 lucky reader – an awesome prize that money can’t buy!
