DRAW IN LIGHT
Written by Hanna-May White // December 04, 2010 // Fashion

Spring/Summer 2011 is all about experimenting with prints, dying light fabrics and recreating shapes and using textures. So when I came across Draw in Light, I was immediately fascinated with their new collection ‘Open Air’ which is about reflecting and refracting ideas of certain elements; light, air, water, spheres, suns and the seasons. I liked the idea of Draw In Light being designed, printed and produced in London, as not many designers choose to produce their clothing in the UK and more and more designers go abroad to make their collection. I thought this was a very nice touch and further more, I love that the designers, Harry and Polly, are childhood friends and shared the same dreams and goal. Venturing out into the fashion industry together, as they were friends since birth it has a nice feel about it, which reflects strongly in their clothing. Draw in Light is about experiemnting with the elemnts and transfering the Clear Air, Soft Light, Grey Rain, Water, Smoke, the Arc of the Day.
Draw In Light’s second collection Open Air S/S 2011 is stocked at Liberty of London, Young British Designers Online, C See Boutique & Sid Concept Stores.
