Launch  of  new  designer  retail  lifestyle  destination

 

Kilver  Court,  the  rural  Home  Of  Style  and  birthplace  of  British  design  label  Mulberry,  will  be  hosting  a  grand  summer  sale  to  launch  the  opening  weekend  of  its  fabulous  Designr  Emporium  in  Shepton  Mallet,  Somerset,  on  Saturday  23  and  Sunday  24  July.  

 
A  completely  new  outlet  concept, Kilver Court is the first of its kind, existing  nowhere else  in  the  country, combining regeneration and designer factory shopping with great food, horticulture and leisure activities. For the style conscious, well known lifestyle brands such as Margaret Howell, sabella Oliver, Beatrix Ong, People Tree, Toast, Myla, Aubin&Wills, Duchamp, Cabbages and Roses, Emma  Bridgewater, Miller Harris and more (further   brands to be announced) will be taking residence at Kilver Court with many offering first time visitors sensational discounts of up to 80 per cent during the opening  weekend.  
 
 
Food lovers can enjoy a pop-­up restaurant with Italian maestro Giuseppe Mascoli of Franca Manca serving classic Italian dishes with a local Somerset twist.  He will be joined by baker to the top hotels and restaurants Sally Clarke,  whose team will be showcasing their patisseries and spelt breads in a pop-­up bakery. These gourmet delights will be alongside all the local and organic produce on offer in the Sharpham Park Farm Shop.    
 
For the green-­fingered enthusiast, there will be quality plants from Pennard Plants and the opportunity to visit the Kilver Court gardens free of charge. Environmental design fans will have the special opportunity to purchase upcycled furniture from Robert Mills, Ed Brooks Furniture, Number 21 Furniture and Saul’s Design.   
 
Joining the celebrations will be Mulberry’s giant gold Bayswater balloon,which is dropping in to Kilver Court as part of its world tour to celebrate Mulberry’s 40 birthday: http://www.mulberry.com/40thbirthday/bayswaterontour/ Mulberry was founded by Kilver  Court owner Roger Saul  in 1971.
 
 
Visitors will be able to take away smaller versions of the giant gold Bayswater, and will also have the chance to be entered into a draw to win a Mulberry Alexa bag, copies of Mulberry’s beautiful coffee-­table book and other memorabilia.      
 
Kilver Court, already a visitor attraction in itself with its gorgeous secret garden, Natural Health Centreand the Sharpham Park Farm Shop, will put Somerset firmly on the map with the launch of its new designer shopping outlet, go to the launch sale and be one of the first ‘in the know’ about this chic and friendly shopping  outlet.
