FREE EVENT: Jessie Ware Concert with Cutty Sark
You may have seen that we recently reviewed Cutty Sark whisky as it’s going through a Gok Wan style makeover. In fact, you could say the brand is going through a bit of a rebellious stage, firstly by updating the iconic bottle to appeal to a younger audience, and now, hosting a mega event on trendy Brick Lane.
Thursday 12th September sees Cutty Sark host Cutty Cargo, a FREE music, food, and drink event featuring some of London’s biggest names. The headline act on the night is Mercury Music nominated Jessie Ware, who will be back in London after wowing festival goers all summer with her soulful infused house tracks. Another festival favourite, London born DJ Duke Dumont will be behind the decks delighting the crowds on this immense evening.
As well as the music, food will be provided by burger legends Meat Market and drinks by one of our favourite London bars 69 Colebrooke Row. Rumour has it that Colebrooke owner (and bartending god) Tony Conigliaro has personally developed the menu that features cocktails using Cutty Sark’s rare ‘Prohibition Edition’ blended malt. If that’s not enough, there will also be a burlesque performance by Miss Polly Rae, photography exhibition by Tom Oxley, and an immersive light installation by Flat-E.London is the first stop on a worldwide tour for the Cutty Cargo but if you feel like following the Cutty Sark it will also be heading to New York and Barcelona before completely its journey in Tokyo. Tickets for the London event are extremely limited, so make sure you register your interest early on the dedicated website http://www.cutty-sark.com/cutty-cargo
