Kanye West revealed his new short film/music video ‘Runaway’ last Saturday 23rd October. The film has stirred up mixed reviews, while some claim the 35 minute film is evidence of Kanye’s genius, other dislike the video and felt it was over the top.
Kanye is often criticized for his unusual, creative thinking and is often misunderstood by many. Â In all honesty, when I first sat down to watch the music video on his youtube channel and saw how long it is, my instant thought was “You got to be kidding me!”. Â However this video is not to be underestimated, as it is thought provoking, beautiful and in it’s own right, a work of art.
The Phoenix (or some might say ‘Fallen Angel’) was played by Victoria Secrets model Selita, and her costume was made by the marvelous Phillip Lim.
