Meet Paris The Barbie

Paris the Barbie by name, but don’t underestimate this young business minded woman, as she has a strong head on her shoulders and knows exactly what she wants out of life.

BSF first came across Paris on YouTube a few years ago, as she had a series of diary videos with her sister Bella, who is just as ambitious as her sister.  The two documented their day to day life under the name ‘The Barbie Sisters’ which included college, shopping and Starbucks. They opened their lives and hearts to the cameras, which has drawn a lot of interest which gave them a unique fan base which is growing constantly.  Not only confident within themselves, they also have their own clothing label called Barbie Mafia Clothing, and now Paris has been snapped up by GOG Playboy to model for Playboy and be an ambassador for the brand she has been catapulted into the glamorous life of parties, celebs and mansions.

I caught up with Paris to get up close and personal and ask her a few questions.

Q. Why did you call yourself Paris The Barbie? My first name is Paris.  My nickname has always been Barbie since I was a little girl.  I have been obsessed with Barbies & been collecting them, so I put my first name with my nickname and that’s how Paris the Barbie was born (giggles).

Q. Describe yourself in 3 words? Crazy, Sexy, Cool. Crazy- Because you never know what I will do next. Sexy – Because I’m very chic & classy but always have that sexy girl look and Cool because I’m a humble person, anybody can hang out with me & feel comfortable with me & have a good time with my funny personality.

Q. When you were little what did you want to be? When I was a little girl I always dreamt of being a Super Model and a Beauty Queen. Honestly I wanted to be just like BARBIE (said with an innocent smile).

Q. Who is your greatest influence and why? My greatest influence would have to be my Mother, she is the person I look up to the most she is my hero. I admire her, she is such a strong women and I would like to be like her one day and raise my children the same way she raised me.

Q. When did the Barbie Sisters first start? People have always called us Barbies because of our fashion style and how girly we are.  Every time friends or family would see us they would say, The Barbie sisters are here so it became our name.

Q. Did you ever imagine from starting off with a few videos on YouTube you would develop such a following? How does it feel to be a role model?  Omg No! I never thought I would develop such a following from YouTube videos I did with my sister Bella. We did them for fun and I wanted to express myself through the videos, to show people that it’s possible to be yourself and its okay to do random things and love the way you are. We should never care what other negative people say about us because at the end of the day the only opinion that matters is our own. We have to do what makes us happy in order to achieve and accomplish our dreams and that is my message I send to people in this world. I want to inspire girls like myself to be confident in their own skin and embrace their beauty. I feel flattered that I am a role model to a lot of girls today, I want them to know that they don’t have to give up their values in order to become successful, to always follow their dreams, to believe in themselves because if they don’t believe in themselves nobody will.

Q. How did you first get into designing (Barbie Mafia)? I am really into fashion, I live and breath fashion and my dream is to own my own store.  Also for my clothing line to be worldwide for little girls and young chic hip girls like myself and my sister. I have always designed dresses and shirts for myself, my peers started to like my stuff so I decide to start designing for them which lead to me creating my own clothing line in which we named after ourselves and Barbie Mafia was born.

Q. Okay, we see you have a HUGE love for Barbie but if you were a Barbie, which one would you be and why? If I would have the chance to pick 1980s classic Barbie I would belike her, because she is so glamorous but modern andwhen you see her she just screams fabulous.

Q. Okay let’s talk fashion, as I see you’re doing your own fit videos on You Tube and images on twitter. Fashion must be a huge part of your life, which designer/icon influences you in fashion? Fashion is a huge part of my life that’s all I think about when I go to sleep and wake up in the morning.  Everyday is like a fashion show to me. I put my outfits together right before I go to sleep, people think I’m crazy but that’s just my way of life I love to dress up and look cute every day. I like to stand out and express my personality through my clothes. My Favourite icon that inspires me the most is Jennifer Lopez and my favourite designer of all time is Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel also.  I adore the classic Coco Chanel designs.

Q. Where is your favorite place to shop? My favourite place to shop is Bloomingdales because they have a big variety of designers but, to be honest with you, my favorite store hands down is Bebe.  I loveeee bebe like no other.

Q. Most loved item in your wardrobe? A black vintage Chanel dress that I have.  It was my grandmother’s, passed to my mom, then me. It’s my baby (said with a huge smile).

Q. Have you ever brought something on impulse and thought why the hell did I buy this afterwards and what was it? (laughs) Omg! yes lots of things in my closet, the one that comes to mind the most would have to be a big winter poncho that it’s so crazy only I would wear it, but luckily it’s pink BSF I’m sat here imagining the Ugly Betty Poncho in pink.

Q. I have to ask, Crocs shoes thumbs up or thumbs down? Ewwww thumbs down of course but whatever makes your feet comfortable right?

Q. Favorite film of all time? A Walk To Remember.

Q. Have you always wanted to model for Playboy? Yes, that was one big dream of mine ever since I saw a Playboy magazine when I was little, I saw the cover and I thought it was Barbie on the cover of that magazine with a bunny. I didn’t know then what it was about till I was older. (laughs) silly me.

Q. Who’s your favorite Playmate? My favorite Playmate is Holly Madison.  A lot of people say I remind them of her because of her style & love for pink Barbie things.  Plus she is plain gorgeous, I had the honour of meeting her in Vegas.  She is so nice and she made me smile because she thought I was pretty, so that definately made my day.

Q. What was it like being picked to be a model for GOG Playboy? When I first got the call, I was told it was the Director of GOG Playboy.  My heart started to beat so fast I thought it was going to pop out of my chest literally, because I didn’t even audition to be part of it. I was so honoured to be picked to be part of the GOG Playboy family.

Q. A lot of the Playmates get stereotyped for being unintelligent and the media often portrays them in a negative light, what are your own views on this? I believe everybody is viewed and judged negatively in this world.  You will never please people, even if you do the right or wrong thing.  It is part of human nature, I mean I don’t agree with it but what can we do. Playmates are beautiful young girls with the ability to do anything they want in this world, I don’t see myself or them as sex symbols but smart intelligent women.

Q. Have you met Hugh Hefner yet? Yes, I have met him lot of times at the Playboy Mansion at parties and at ‘Fun in the Sun’. Actually it was one of my dreams to meet him he is such a legend, I always wanted to meet him so the first time I did I was so nervous and kind of wanted to cry but he made me feel so comfortable when I met him.  He gave me hug, made me feel right at home.  He is such a sweetheart and I’m thankful to him for opening his house to me to have the opportunity to hang out at the Playboy mansion which has always been a dream of mine. I’m so blessed.

Q. So how long have you been modeling for, and what have you done? I have been modeling since I was a little girl.  I first started off with pageants, then I went to modeling school.  I graduated Modeling school, then I started to get booked for modeling gigs and that’s how my modeling career developed.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? Well, five years from now I see myself married with my dream Ken (laughs) that’s my biggest goal in life.  I want to have a huge wedding and have my own clothing store, still be modeling and also I would love to see myself as a Fashionista on TV, maybe be a personal stylist for some of the A list celebs.  Also it wouldn’t hurt to see myself a famous celeb model/ actress. I have lots of dreams and goals I want to accomplish in life, nothing is impossible, all you got to do is believe in yourself and make it happen.
