World Whisky Day
Dram lovers are in for a treat as luxury Scottish Resort, Cameron House on Loch Lomond, is celebrating World Whisky Day on 27 March 2012 with a brand new Whisky Bar and a new dedicated Whisky Ambassador.
Enthusiasts who are keen to learn more about Scotland’s national drink can enjoy whisky tutorials led by passionate ambassador Johnny McMillan every Thursday evening and sample some of the finest whisky flights from around Scotland, including the prestigious Glenmorangie Distillery. Featuring a new Whisky Tasting Table, which seats eight people, the bar boasts a selection of over 260 different whiskies, including Glenmorangie Pride – one of the rarest whisky at £250 per dram – and a 1939 Linkwood, which is unique to Cameron House.
In addition, those who know their malts from their grains can now closely guard their favourite tipple, by indulging in a bottle and storing it in a personalised locker in the whisky bar, at Cameron House, along with their own individual quaich – a traditional vessel designed for tasting whisky. Under Johnny’s watchful eye the bottle will be kept safe, ready for the next visit.
With views overlooking Loch Lomond and images of inspiring Scottish legends adorning the walls, the Whisky Bar at Cameron House is the perfect place to sit back and unwind. From those who like theirs straight-up or on the rocks, to those who prefer to experiment with a refreshing cocktail, whisky expert Johnny is on hand to help select just the thing.
